News Item: Trump Inauguration in Images ABC Inauguration Images of President Trump President Trump took the Oath of Office to become the 45th President of the United States on January 20th in a ceremony at the U.S. Capital in Washington DC The event was conducted with color and elegance as the peaceful transition of power inducted Trump into the office of the Presidency following his national election victory two months ago. Chief Justice John Roberts of the Supreme Court swore in the new President Donald Trump with his hand placed upon the Bibles of his childhood and that used by President Lincoln. The swearing in of Vice President Mike Pence was delivered by Associate Justice Clerence Thomas. Instantly, the Marine Bank performed “Hail to the Chief,” and he was given a 21-gun salute in his honor. Trump made a short inaugural address from the podium, and three religious leaders gave benedictions following his speech, including prayers from an Archbishop and Rabbi who called for God’s blessing upon the new leader to a crowd that filled the Mall to capacity with spectators. Trump escorted the former President to the departure point where they took their leave in a helicopter, and Trump turned inside the U.S. Capital to attend to the signing of Congressional documents. The new President and his wife Melania then gathered with Congressional leaders for the official inaugural luncheon at the National Statutory Hall after which they descended the main steps of the U.S. Capital to view a color guard as the new Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces. The ceremonial procession of cars motored down the parade route of Pennsylvania Avenue that marked the distance to the Whitehouse. Flanked on both sides by the public, they waved at well-wishers cheering, calling and greeting the new President. From within the Reviewing stand at the Whitehouse, they watched a parade of colorful marching bands, academy salutes and state representations pass by. Later that night, the Trumps and Pence family attending several evening Inauguration Balls in the city wearing formal gowns and enjoying musical festivities. The dignity with which President Trump and his family represented themselves was elegant and traditional that has long marked the American way of governance by democracy. While some protests were reported by popular media in attempts to deter from the events for attention, they were minor. One car was set afire, and shouting was exchanged between protesters and fans of the parade. but soon faded out. There were no incidents. At his Presidential Inauguration, Trump and his family made the event a beautiful and stunning success.
